HELLO FROM LA CEIBA!!

A lot has happened since we last posted! I picked some of the things we have been up to that we got good pictures of...

We had a parent's conference on Friday night, where parents attend a seminar set up by the school. This one focused on family and marriage. Here is a group of students leading praise and worship before the seminar started.

Becky led chapel on Friday, speaking to the students about giving.

We had so much fun in class playing Chubby Bunny, the classes played against each other in chapel. Josue in 9th grade was the winner with maybe 18 or 20 marshmallows, I think we lost count.

Here are some of the 9th graders working on a science project.

Pastor Ricky preached an excellent sermon last week about grace and forgiveness. We have been forgiven for so much, and we need to show forgiveness to others.

This is up close to Instituto El Rey. (ierschool.org)

This is up a bit past Instituto El Rey, near Jason and Sarah's house. They are starting an orphanage up there. (http://www.givehope2kids.org/)

A beautiful sunrise, seen from our balcony as we head to school for the day.

A huge weevil I found while hiking with Dave Guevara in the forest.

The forest here is way different than in Florida or Virginia.

A few weekends ago, we visited Susan and Scott Ledford, who have a ministry in El Porvenir (a town outside of the city) teaching English, teaching auto repair, and they are starting a clinic in their community. They also have a cool pet monkey who was inspecting my hair for yummy insects. She didn't find many.

Becky really liked the mono.

We were supposed to have games in class on "100 day" when we celebrated 100 days of classes, so I played Chubby Bunny with the seniors.

Becky and me after a long day's work at the school.

THE END
There is more (it has been months since we last updated, as you probably know) but this is it for tonight. Goodnight and Dios Le Bendiga!

Hi Becky and Dave,

It was great to hear from you. Love hte pictures, especially the morning sunrise. What a beautiful view to begin your teaching day! You two look great after a long, teaching day. Your smiles reflect God's love and His provision for you in serving others through your teaching. I'm so glad to see you're both happy and full of God's love and grace. Beautiful, inspiring pictures. You're both being a blessing to all those young people. May God bless and keep you. Prayers, Barb
